Eric applies his passion for learning and problem solving in his role as a Principal and a Client Advisor at Glassman Wealth. For Eric, an important aspect of solving problems for clients is having the right tools and applying them in a way that provides positive outcomes for them and their families. He enjoys working closely with clients, listening to their questions, anticipating their needs, and helping to make the management of their financial lives easier.

Having a CFP® and a law degree, Eric brings a unique skill set and perspective to his role. He draws on this knowledge when collaborating with other advisors to create financial plans that consider which estate planning strategies our clients should consider. Eric also thrives on working with executives on equity compensation packages as this requires careful planning taking into account tax strategies, valuation and risk analysis, and advanced investment planning. These distinct, yet complimentary, tools make him a powerful resource for the Glassman Wealth team as they work together to deliver financial advice and strategies to clients and their families.

Eric also leads the firm’s research into corporate retirement plans and helps steer the internal investment committee to provide research and due diligence on current and prospective investment strategies.

“Law and finance are intertwined, especially for our clients and those who will engage us in the future. As we’re helping them to save money and prepare them and the next generation for whatever their goals are, the two go hand-in-hand.”

Eric has a unique definition of success. He believes that you never want to be successful. You always want to strive to be successful. By perpetually moving the bar ever higher, this mindset motivates him to improve every day. Perhaps this is why he describes himself as a life-long learner – a common trait found among the Glassman Wealth team.

Prior to joining Glassman Wealth, Eric was a Financial Advisor working directly with the Managing Partner of a prestigious financial planning firm. In addition to advising high-net worth clients about all aspects of their investments and wealth management, he performed all investment related research and analysis. Eric also managed corporate 401(k) accounts ranging from $3 million to $200 million in assets. This included monitoring and analyzing the investment options and educating participants on all financial matters.

Eric has a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Franklin and Marshall College and a Juris Doctor with Honors from the New England School of Law. He attained his Certified Financial Planner, CFP® certificate and is barred in Maryland and D.C.

Fact: Eric has taken two humanitarian missions to Cuba bringing medicine and supplies to different communities.
