The NewsBash for Breast Cancer takes place on Tuesday, June 16, from 7:00-9:00pm at The Warner Building Rooftop (1299 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW). Tickets for the event are $75 and are available at http://NewsBash2015.Eventbrite.com. Guests are asked to wear pink and will enjoy specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and sweet treats.

Supporters, survivors, politicos and friends will come together for the evening to help raise awareness for breast cancer and to raise funds for this year’s beneficiary, the Celebremos La Vida! program of the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Based in Arlington, VA, the Prevent Cancer Foundation is the only U.S. nonprofit organization solely devoted to cancer prevention and early detection. Celebremos La Vida!, (or Let’s Celebrate Life!) is a breast and cervical cancer education and early detection program for medically under-served women in the Hispanic community.

The NewsBash for Breast Cancer is the annual Washington, D.C. event that raises awareness and funds for breast cancer causes. It began in 2009 when a group of good friends in the TV news industry decided to create an event to benefit for one cause. The pink-themed cocktail party draws an amazing crowd of breast cancer survivors, advocates and political and media power players.
