The newest member of the Glassman Wealth team, Ray did not begin his professional career in wealth management. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, he first worked in project management for engineering firms. However, once he decided to pursue an MBA in Accounting and Finance he discovered his passion for working with families to achieve their financial goals.
Ray enjoys helping people make the best financial decisions possible, and it is specifically the close, personal relationships that he is able to build with clients that drew him to wealth management. Ray enjoys working in a fiduciary capacity where he can provide the tailored advice and recommendations to clients based on their unique situations.
Before joining us at Glassman Wealth, Ray worked for a local wealth management firm as a financial planner. He is particularly interested in investments and tax planning, and is a licensed CPA in addition to holding a Certificate of Financial Planning ( CFP®). His expertise contributes to the collective experiences and knowledge of the Glassman Wealth team, allowing our advisors to continually work to develop best practices and learn from one another, while enriching the lives of our clients.
Having grown up in Northern Virginia, Ray was naturally drawn back to the area after graduating from college. Ray enjoys playing golf and when he isn’t able to make it out to the course he enjoys spending time with his wife and family in Vienna, VA.
Fun Fact: Ray has recently become interested in yoga, and finds that the meditation aspect of it has especially helped him to improve his focus and patience.
