Gabe Muller, our Chief Operating Officer, equates creating an efficient work- environment with thoroughly examining his flight checklist before taking off. An avid pilot, he knows that a smooth and safe flight begins with exacting preparation while firmly on the ground.
Gabe leads and manages firm-wide business operations with the support of the president to create and sustain the intended level of client and team member experience driving organizational success. Gabe is responsible for providing resources and removing barriers to allow team members to thrive in their roles. Additionally, Gabe oversees the performance management framework and process: ensuring the maintenance of relevant role descriptions, consistently engaging the team through 1:1’s, team meetings, performance reviews, communicating operational directives, facilitating strategic priorities, and collaboratively establishing accountability for all roles within the firm.
“Before any flight, I create a flight plan and complete a comprehensive checklist to make sure that the plane is airworthy. Should something go wrong, I have a backup plan to land safely. The same preparation can be applied to our operations. We carefully develop our processes and procedures to reduce our margin of error, and work at our highest levels of productivity. We have redundancies in place should we need them. Like flying a plane, all of this preparation culminates in giving our clients an amazing experience.”
Gabe is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Prior to joining Glassman Wealth Services, he worked for a wealth management firm in Fort Myers, Florida. As a private pilot, he has volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol, and plans to become a mission pilot for emergency services, which includes air search, local disaster relief, cooperation with and assistance to other emergency services agencies.
Fact: Gabe was born on a leap year and will continue to be 8 for another 3 years.
