What You Can Expect from Your Initial Meeting with Glassman Wealth

It’s About YOU:

Let’s start with the most important thing first. When you come into a meeting, you’ll know right away that it’s about you. Expect to hear questions or statements like:

  • What do you think is important that we cover today?
  • What are you looking to get out of a financial advisory relationship?
  • What keeps you up at night?
  • What are your goals?
  • Tell us about you, your family, your financial situation.
  • Tell us MORE.

You’ve likely already visited our website and know all about our culture and team- and if not, we’d be happy to answer any of your questions. But after your first meeting, you deserve to leave with the understanding of what it feels like to be a client.

Expect Transparency and New Ideas

If you feel comfortable sending us current statements, tax returns, or asset summaries prior to our initial meeting, we can at least send you home with a few things you hadn’t thought about and some ways that we can add value. Even if you can’t provide anything in advance, by learning about your situation we can often introduce new ideas or strategies that perhaps you or your current advisor have not considered.

Given the collective experience of our team, you are getting years of knowledge and experience that comes not only from extensive research and education, but from working directly with other clients. There isn’t much we haven’t seen, and although every client is unique, we likely handle many situations similar to yours.  We love to share our knowledge and don’t try to hide our secret sauce.

We’ll be honest with you about our competitors

There are many phenomenal advisors in the DC area. If you’re like most of our other prospective clients, you’ve done your homework and have at least visited the websites of some of these advisors to find the right fit. If you haven’t already done so, check out our 2018 Review of the Best Financial Advisors in the DC/MD/VA Area.

You’re likely interviewing some of our competitors. You deserve to find an advisor who would be a great fit for you and your family, whether it be the alignment of your investment philosophies, your personal goals, or simply what is most important to you.

After hearing a little about your unique situation and who else you might be interviewing with, we are able to offer an objective view of who would be a good fit for your needs. We might not always be the best fit for everybody, but you deserve to be in capable hands.

If you’re meeting with us, we believe that we can provide a great service to you and your family, and that we would LOVE to work with you and your family. If you ultimately decide to go with another firm, we will continue to be honest and transparent in our advice.
