DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Lisa Poff manages the communication efforts for Glassman Wealth Services and helps to keep our clients informed about important financial and firm news. She works with the advisors and investment professionals to communicate sometimes complex financial jargon in more user-friendly terms. Lisa also manages the firm’s website, blog, press relations and social media outreach and content.
One of Lisa’s favorite responsibilities is to manage several educational and charitable events that the firm hosts each year. As a trained chef and former owner of a catering company, her culinary and organizational skills are put to work creating memorable dinners, seminars and events. She manages Chef Night, a tasting and wine dinner hosted annually by Glassman Wealth Services. Over the past 10 years, Chef Night has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society.
Behind the scenes, Lisa is charged with the business management of the firm, and oversees the firm’s regulatory compliance.
Lisa studied Journalism and International Politics at Pennsylvania State University and California State University Northridge. She has attained her Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor and Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist designations. Prior to working for Glassman Wealth Services, Lisa was a chef at Wegmans, owned her own catering company, and was the Director of Marketing and Communications for several companies in California.
FACT: When Lisa was studying Journalism at Cal State University Northridge, she interviewed Ann Curry, who was then a beat reporter for a local Los Angeles television station. Ann Curry is now the co-anchor of the Today show.
